I think so, but I am just not sure whether Iowa will truly go smoke free.  The Iowa House and Iowa Senate, as you will recall, passed very different versions of the legislation.  Now, a ten-legislator conference committee has to hash it out.  The ten legislators have wildly diverse ideas and opinions.  Still, looking at the group, it seems more likely than not (my guess) that Iowa will indeed go smoke free.

To be absolutely clear, my apology below extends[mostly and especially] to all of the Clintons' supporters, staff, and to the Clintons themselves.  Again, I am very sorry -- especially to them -- for stupid, tasteless, and insensitive remarks.  I hope they will consider accepting my apology, and perhaps even forgiving my transgression.

I sincerely apologize for a tasteless and gratituous comment I made here about President Clinton.  It was unnecessary and wrong.

I have since deleted the comment, and again apologize for making it.  It will not happen again.

I hope my readers will accept my apology and we can move on to the very important issues facing our state and country.  Thank you.
