This Week with George Stephanopolous is of course a must-watch and I always enjoy it thoroughly, even as I sometimes strenously disagree with the opinions made.  This morning was one of those mornings, though, where I have to make a comment or two.

Cokie Roberts was on the panel, and she has consistently been absolutely 1,000 percent for HRC and 1,000 percent against Obama, in appearance after appearance on ABC.  That is most certainly her right.  But this week Roberts was saying, since the results in IN and NC, how unfair the media has been to Hillary, that (un-named) columnists have been "incredibly disrepectful," to her, and this all was surely for sexist reasons.

Who is she talking about?  Who has been "disrepectful"?  Certainly not Senator Obama, his campaign, and/or campaign surrogates.  All of the above have been very respectful and incredibly restrained since Tuesday.  All have gone to great pains, despite being goaded by some to say so, to completely avoid asking HRC to drop out.  Instead, all have said HRC earned the right to end this if, when, and how she wants.  I think that is the height of respect.

Roberts then said " . . . and I don't even read the blogs, I can't even begin to imagine what they're saying . . . ."   Well, this blogger (obviously and admittedly pro-Obama) is also being respectful.  I most certainly have not called for HRC to drop out.  Quite the reverse, I agree with Obama, the Obama campaign, and its surrogates -- no one should tell HRC to drop out.  HRC has definitely run a very strong campaign, she is an incredibly important figure in Our Party, and if she does suspend her campaign, it should be completely her own decision, and she should do it if, when, and how she decides, completely on her own terms.

P.S.  You can watch the Roberts clip for yourself -- link to the video.
